  I dislike holier than thou people

  i was raised to be pentacostal.

  i hated that religion and their holier than thou attitudes.

  so, i went against my mother and listened to the dubs.

  The Romans thought that their Gods made sense of the world. So did the Greeks. So did the American Indians. Now-a-days the thought of Neptune controling the seas seems novel, and the simpletons that believed that.....well....quaint.
  
  In 1,000 years civilizations will look back at our history and wonder how in the world people could believe such nonesense and find it "quaint". However, they will probably group Chritianity in with headhunting tribes, and the Aztecs as being an extremely violent and cruel religion.

  Charles Taze Russell & His Secret Mission To S. California That Killed Him

  the last 5 months of charles taze russell's life was quite hectic, and according to reports in the watch tower magazine, russell's health was declining throughout.

  in september, 1916, russell went on a convention train tour which lasted nearly the entire month.

  this train tour included stops in several southern california locations around the 8th through the 12th.

  Since William Randolf Hearst had a castle in California....perhaps the publishing magnant saw the WTBS as a possible competitor to his empire and promptly killed him off.
  
  I'd like to see the conspiracy nuts spin this....would make for a better "made for TV" movie IMHO.

  blondie you prolly get tired of hearing this but thanks so much for your labor of love.

  i dont get the mags anymore, but im glad to be able to keep up with what's being said in the wt through your weekly comments on the wt study.. i would think it might get tiresome to wade through the bs in the articles week after week.

  im sure it takes a lot of your time to research, then type your post.

  I'm not sure if I've ever said thanks Blondie. Your posts were / are one of the main reasons I come here. Although some weeks I just can't bring myself to care enough to read that tripe the WTBS puts out. But I do like to stay abreast of JW things so I can mention things in my conversations with my family....sowing the seeds of doubt if you will. Thanks for all your hard work.

  i have not yet to find another organization in the world that is like jw.

  yes it has made mistakes, there imperfect humans, but what other organization in the world goes preaching house to house like jesus did.

  Primetime show w/sick perverts

  okay, they sure are having a lot of television programs lately regarding sexual abuse/assault, etc... did anyone just see that primetime show on abc about the sick guy that was making phone calls to fast food places and saying he was a police officer and telling managers to strip search employees and hit them and make them perform sexual acts and stuff?

  and the freaking managers and stuff actually did it!

  i almost cried... it was really sick.

  I agree how stupid do you have to be. Both the manager and the employee. But this story stinks......something is foul is a foot I thinks.
